Incodia, the UK’s largest supplier of gift, loyalty and membership cards, and provider of FMCG packaging, have invested in new Heidelberg equipment to provide more complex cards, carriers and packaging.

The Heidelberg Folder Gluer has already arrived at Incodia’s Colchester facility and will be fully operational later this month. It will sit alongside their two existing Heidelberg machines; a CX102-8+L, installed in 2018 and a Promatrix 106 CSB, installed in November 2021.

The Diana 115 Easy Folder Gluer is suitable for a wide range of materials, including 200-600 g/m2 solid board, E flute corrugated and heavier paper stocks, making it the go-to machine for UK print providers.

It can run a wide range of carton styles, including straight-line, lock-bottom, 4 and 6 corner cartons as well as envelopes, document wallets and more, significantly broadening Incodia’s offering to new and existing clients.

“The Folder Gluer gives us more flexibility, greater production speeds and the ability to offer more bespoke packaging. Since we have invested in a number of pieces of Heidelberg equipment, we know they don’t just offer the highest quality machinery but also great service and support” says Allan Lock, Chief Executive Officer at Incodia.

Producing millions of cards out of their UK manufacturing sites each week and distributing globally, Incodia have invested significantly in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the highest standards and fastest lead-times from concept to completion.

“Our relationship with Incodia has grown and developed over the years and we have provided them with some of our leading technology to expand their printing capabilities. We’re proud to be building a long-term relationship with such an exciting and progressive business” says Andy Buck, Sales Account Manager at Heidelberg UK.

With their state-of-the-art 8-colour printing press, Incodia offer high quality print results and have recently achieved G7 Master Colorspace certification for their industry-leading colour consistency.

Having invested in the latest digital technology, Incodia also offer a fast and cost-effective print-on-demand service, including lithographic printing of a broad range of cards, carriers and packaging.

The Essex and Lancashire based company, who print 250 million cards and 200 items of printed packaging each year, are in the process of expanding their packaging division, working with a range of sectors including FMCG, toiletries, cosmetics and confectionery.

With their expertise, facilities and highly capable equipment such as the new Folder Gluer, Incodia are ideally placed as a key supplier of packaging in the UK.
