Interesting news from Forbes on gift card sales and use… Unsurprisingly, it appears product shortages and shipping delays led to a strong rise in gift card sales in the US – both at Christmas and throughout 2021. In a survey of 1,400 consumers, 87% said they will spend more than the value of a gift card when redeeming it this January – with 1-in-6 planning to spend $41-50 (£30-37) more.
